"I create a safe place where you can feel heard and your experiences acknowledged and valued rather than judged. I understand that it is difficult to reveal all to someone you don't know yet so I am patient and I will go at your pace."

Integrated Humanistic Psychotherapist & Clinical Supervisor
Beginnings ...
I have been in the caring profession since I volunteered for the Dublin Rape Crisis Centre Helpline in 2000 and have been in the Counselling world ever since.
My practice today….
I am an Accredited Counsellor/Psychotherapist with the Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy. This means I have achieved the correct qualifications and clinical experience to be recognised as a validated practitioner.
I have a Person Centred approach to therapy as I believe we all have the ability within us to become the person we want to be. It is my role to facilitate this transition. I also use an integrated therapeutic approach based on the needs of my clients. This means that I understand what might be helpful for one person might not necessarily suit another. My approach can meet your unique needs and bring about the desired changes in your life. I work from a holistic viewpoint as I appreciate the connection between mind, body and spirit.
Supervision
I am an Accredited Supervisor with the Irish Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy. I enjoy this other professional dimension, working with fellow therapists and supervisors. I believe in supporting my supervisees whilst respecting their autonomy in their work. I provide the same holding environment to my supervisees as I do my clients, understanding that self reflection and process are an important parts of the supervisory relationship.
I have a particular interest in working with Student Therapists as they embark upon their course requirement of clinical hours.
Other counselling interests …
I have incorporated other aspects of the counselling profession in to my life especially education. I am a lecturer on the degree programme in Counselling & Psychotherapy with PCI College. I also deliver a workshop every year to sixth class pupils , 'Transitioning in to Secondary School'. This is a Child-Centred programme I developed to support children during this change in their lives.
I am also interested in Blogging and furthering my education through
Continuous Professional Development (CPD) programmes.
